Matching And Merging Permanent Customers

This feature is available when you are in the Customers list. After selecting a customer, click on the Edit sign:

In this scenario, one customer will be designated as the Source Customer and the other as the Target Customer.

The Source Customer will be deleted after the matching process is complete, and the individuals associated with the Source Customer will be matched with or added to the Target Customer’s list of persons, along with other details as explained below.

To match customers, select the Source Customer from the list and click on the Edit sign, then select the Merge Customer option.

Once the Merge Customer option is selected, a search dialog opens, allowing you to search for the Target Customer:

After the search results are returned, select the Target Customer and click the SELECT TARGET CUSTOMER button.

Next, you must either confirm or cancel your action:

If you select YES, the Source Customer will be deleted, and its related details will be merged into the Target Customer’s details.

Merged Data

  • Accounting records of the Source Customer will be updated with the ID of the Target Customer.
  • Address records of the Source Customer will be updated with the ID of the Target Customer.
  • Agent Commission details for customers who are agents will be updated with the ID of the Target Customer.
  • Contact details of the Source Customer will be updated with the ID of the Target Customer.
  • Customer Brand records of the Source Customer will be updated with the ID of the Target Customer.
  • Customer Invoice records of the Source Customer will be updated with the ID of the Target Customer.
  • Customer Type records of the Source Customer will be updated with the ID of the Target Customer.
  • Notes of the Source Customer will be updated with the ID of the Target Customer.
  • Deals of the Source Customer will be updated with the ID of the Target Customer.
  • Custom Field Values of the Source Customer will be deleted.
  • Tasks of the Source Customer will be updated with the ID of the Target Customer.
  • Email records of the Source Customer will be updated with the ID of the Target Customer.
  • Persons records – the system first matches persons of the Source Customer with those of the Target Customer by email address. If the email address is empty, the matching is done if all – family name, personal name, and birth date – match.
  • If a person from the Source matches with a person from the Target, the system deletes the person from the Source, retaining only the person from the Target and updates the following details from the Source: Tasks, Multimedia records, Email records, Notes, Traveler assignments.
  • If a person from the Source Customer is not matched with any person from the Target, the system moves the person from the Source to the Target, but maintains the original main person of the Target as the main person.

Based on the examples of Source Customer and Target Customer list of persons, below are the details of the Target Customer after the matching process is completed:

Addresses

  • After matching, the address record of the Source Customer is added to the list of Addresses of the Target Customer.

Persons

  • One person having the same family name, personal name, and birth date was matched – Person Matched.
  • The 2 persons from the Source Customer have been moved to the Target Customer.

Contacts

  • After matching, the Contact record of the Source Customer is added to the list of Contacts of the Target Customer.

Tasks

  • After matching, the Task record of the Source Customer is added to the list of Tasks of the Target Customer.

Notes

  • After matching, the Note record of the Source Customer is added to the list of Notes of the Target Customer.

Deals

  • Deals related to the Source Customer will be moved to the list of deals of the Target Customer.

Emails

  • Emails related to the Source customer and Source persons will be moved to the list of emails of the Target customer/persons.
